Good Foundations maintain five care homes in the Merseyside area, all of which are sited in good residential areas because we believe that the young people in our care should be involved in and be a part of the community in which they live. In outward appearance they look the same as the other homes and houses in the area to avoid the social stigma historically attached to care homes.

Good Foundations is committed to the idea that Residential Care must resemble a family environment and we provide each young person with their own fully personalised and well furnsihed bedroom. Other accommodation is carefully vetted and provides a fully furnished flat with large bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

Good Foundations Care Homes are based within communities in which children and young people can develop and become part of the community they live in. The staff will strive towards this aim by getting the young people involved in community activities. Young people are encouraged to engage in local activities and are individually supported to access extra curricular activities, which may lead to vocational opportunities. As far as possible the conditions in the homes will reflect those in a ordinary domestic environment.

All Good Foundations Care homes have easy access to public transport to enable family links to be maintained, encouraged and developed, this will also enable the young person to attend school.
